Liberi Fatali is a multi-MMO raid guild with a casual atmosphere. The majority of our members are over the age of 21, and we expect people to behave themselves as respectable adults. We like to think of everyone in the guild as part of our family and have no qualms with inviting friends and family of raiders. We understand people have jobs and family and work ourselves around that, however, we do take raiding seriously. Once we step foot into a raid, we expect everyone to be prepared, pay attention and play at their best. As such, we expect everyone to bring consumables; a few extra gold/gil/pesos spent can save hours on wipes while learning new bosses. We also expect you to work on your character on your own so you can perform well in raids; you can't just jump in with full greens and expect us to gear you up to speed.

Liberi Fatali will be celebrating its 7th anniversary as an MMO guild this fall. The guild was originally founded two weeks after the North American release of Final Fantasy XI for the PC on the Ragnarok server. Starting with a group of 8 people that befriended one another within days of the game's launch, the guild grew and became home to dozens of members as we leveled together and experienced end-game as friends. As the years went by, many people came and went, but LF has always tried to remain true to its core values on which we were founded. Anyone that has played FFXI can probably relate to our reasons for leaving, but after years of battling gilsellers (gold sellers/RMT) and feeling ignored by the game's publisher, a number of us decided to move to a new MMO together. A number of our friends had already been playing WoW since it launched, so the guild started out with a wide mix of experience with the game. Over the years since our move we have grown again; losing some older friends and gaining new ones in the process.

So just what are the core values that Liberi Fatali believes in? We like to pride ourselves on having skilled players that are mature and friendly. We don't take the game or ourselves too seriously, and wish to see content together as a family of friends. Most of our members are generous people that are open to new players and willing to help everyone succeed with their goals as well as the goals of the guild. Most of our disputes over loot drops involve everyone trying to pass to someone they feel needs it more instead of loot whores that have a "gimme everything" attitude. We all wish to experience the game, but most of us want that experience to be with people we consider friends instead of a group of strangers we barely talk to outside of raid night.

As stated before, LF is a mature guild with many adult players. The average age in the guild is probably around 27-29, with quite a few players in their 30s, 40s and up. We have a number of married players and people with children. Some married couples play together and we do have plenty of female members as well. Most of the guild have jobs and college, or actual career jobs, so we do understand work schedules and family issues that might prevent people from making every scheduled event. We also have members on both sides of the coast and spread throughout the US and Canada (as well as international members). Because of these factors the guild is busiest in the evening hours, and we make raid times to try and accommodate everyone's schedules as best we can. If you can't keep your attendance to raids above 50% however, don't expect a spot to be held for you every time you actually do show up.

What we don't tolerate is people acting immaturely or maliciously towards fellow members and other players. We all like to joke around and have fun, but when someone becomes offended or a discussion escalates into a fight, we will take action. Your guild members are your family; these are the people that will have your back in a fight and bend over backwards in dungeons and raids to help you get the toys you want. If you treat people as a friend and respect them, the same respect will be given in return. If you act like a child and throw a fit when things don't go your way, or you purposefully try to antagonize people and start fights, then LF is not the guild for you.
