Released at the beginning of March, Rift is a new MMO by Trion Worlds that has already gained a healthy following world-wide. The game borrows heavily from many of the MMOs that have come before, as well as creating an entirely new world with it’s own lore and it’s own gimmick in the form of Rifts. Considering the massive scope involved with an MMO, and the naturally tumultuous nature of the post-launch updating, I like to give the game some time to catch it’s stride before I give an opinion. Having played the game since around Closed Beta 4 and through Open Beta to Head Start and in all the months since, I’d like to take some time and give a review of how the game has grown and where I think it is headed.

It’s been awhile since I’ve had much to say about Final Fantasy XIV, so I felt it was a good time to give a frank review of the game. I wanted to do this sooner, but with how poor the quality of the game was at release, I wanted to give Square some time to get their act together. Obviously, that’s going to take a lot longer than most people had believed, so I’m going to give a review of the game from the viewpoint of someone who has played since Beta and through to the latest updates.

The Saboteur was Pandemic Studio’s “swan song” release, and I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised by the game. After clocking in around 20 hours, including all side missions, the game was fairly meaty for a 3rd person sandbox experience. The game takes place during WWII in France, but the real story is one of revenge and you play as Sean Devlin, the Irish race car driver turned saboteur.
